At an extraordinary general meeting in 2023, the Beethoven-Haus agreed on a new preamble to the association's statutes:

‘The Beethoven-Haus acts in a comprehensive interest for the common good. The pursuit of its charitable purposes is based on a clear commitment to the free and democratic basic order and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, to which the Beethoven-Haus is committed.’

In this respect, we support the cross-party rally planned for Sunday 21 January on Bonn's market square and call on all friends and supporters of the Beethoven-Haus to take part and send a signal for our free and democratic basic order.
