Beethoven digital

The Digital Archives makes the inventory of the Beethoven-Haus accessible for research, use and the general public. Through linked image, text and audio data Beethoven's life and oeuvre can be experienced in a multimedia way. You will find:

• High-quality colour scan facsimiles of music manuscripts, written documents, music prints, pictures and objects
• Short titles, source descriptions, interesting facts, systematics, content summaries, text transcriptions, related links
• Sound examples, autographs with sound, audio letters

Besides that another library stock has been digitized: more than 2,000 early scores and arrangements of Beethoven’s works are accessible now. The project was funded by the government of North-Rhine-Westfalia.
