Baritone Thomas Hampson ill - Giorgos Kanaris steps in

The American singer Thomas Hampson has fallen ill with corona and has therefore cancelled his appearance at the concert in the Beethoven House on 9 August. Fortunately, a replacement could be found at short notice: The renowned baritone Giorgos Kanaris, who is currently engaged at the Bonn Opera, will sing in Hampson's place. The concert will take place as part of the series "Odessa Classics@Beethoven-Haus Bonn", as a benefit concert for musicians in need because of the war in Ukraine.

Due to the line-up change, tickets for the concert can exceptionally be returned using the return form available for download on the Beethoven-Haus website, even if they are purchased at another advance booking office. Since the proceeds will go to the Beethoven House's "Hope for Peace" relief fund, the organisers hope that many ticket holders will decide not to take advantage of the return option.
