The Beethoven House is dedicating its new special exhibition, which will be shown from 12 August to 18 September as part of the Beethoven Festival, to the innovative virtual reality (VR) game BEETHOVEN // OPUS 360. The game was conceived by the young non-profit educational initiative agon e.V. based in Bonn and developed in cooperation with numerous partners. At the exhibition opening on Thursday, it was presented to the public for the first time in the presence of Gonca Türkeli-Dehnert, State Secretary in the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as numerous participants and representatives from music and cultural education. Using VR glasses and controllers, visitors to the exhibition can immerse themselves in a virtual world and experience Ludwig van Beethoven in a new and playful way in a novel combination of VR, gaming, rap and classical music.
