For the 13th time, the Beethoven House organised an International Beethoven Master Class, this year for the first time for singers. Christoph Prégardien, one of the most important lyric tenors and lieder singers of our time, was won as a lecturer. The master class was financed by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media. The master class with Christoph Prégardien concentrated on the art song. The focus was on songs by Beethoven, but works by other composers could also be worked on.
The public lessons with Christoph Prégardien took place in the mornings and afternoons, partly in front of an audience in the Chamber Music Hall of the Beethoven House. It was also streamed live on the internet. The course ended with a final concert for the participants.
