The museum exhibits have often found their way into the Beethoven-Haus in exciting ways. On an entertaining tour, participants will hear about these spectacular, touching and sometimes unbelievable stories - accompanied by musical examples. The evening ends with a glass of wine from a winery with a very special connection to Beethoven.
    Duration: 90 minutes
Cost: € 150 (plus admission to the museum)
  • 'Beethoven's instruments from all strings'
Highlights of the exhibition are Beethoven's original instruments - his last grand piano, his service viola, his string quartet and the organ console from St Remigius Church. The tour focuses on Beethoven as a musician and on the instruments themselves - their history, their makers and the material they are made of. With recordings of concerts on the historic instruments, including those by Pablo Casals and Tabea Zimmermann. The evening ends with a glass of wine from a winery with a very special connection to Beethoven.
    Duration: 90 minutes

  • 'Beethoven's cookery'
An enjoyable evening centred around the topic of food in Beethoven's time. A shared tour of the museum offers a glimpse into the cooking pots of ordinary people in the Rhineland in the 18th century and, after a visit to the festive table of the Elector of Cologne, leads to Beethoven, a man of pleasure who appreciated good food and enjoyed dining at the inn. The exhibits tell of curious incidents in Beethoven's kitchen and of his favourite dishes. Now a little hungry, the tour continues on foot to Lennéstraße, where the participants first cook together according to Beethoven's recipes in the Catholic Family Education Centre and then enjoy a delicious meal.
    Duration: approx. 4.5 hours
    Max. 14 participants
    Costs:
In cooperation with the Catholic Family Education Centre Bonn
